Travel Tales: Vancouver Day 2
Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 6:00AM On our second day in Vancouver, we spent a lot of time figuring out what we were going to do. I learned, rather hard-headedly, when we're away from home, I get uncomfortable. I don't know where things are. I'm in new surroundings. This realization brought about lots of time for deep conversations.
After trying out one food truck that wasn't that great, we saw another one. Vij's Railway Express specializes in curry dishes.

Here's a little video of what we tried (It might be hard to hear my voice, there was a lot of ambient noise):
One of my co-workers went to Vancouver a week before Anthony and I did, she shared great ideas with us. One of them was the Vancouver Trolley Company. They specialize in hop-on, hop-off tour and go all around downtown Vancouver. You can pick up the trolley in Canada Place, where lots and lots of cruise ships dock.

It was a great way to get an overview of the city.

Anthony loved the Gastown District. This is such a cool building!

I found a guy I needed a picture with! Don't look too close or you'll see my non-matching tennies.

In Gastown, we found another food truck called the Juice Truck.

Anthony got a new backpack a few days before our trip. And let me just say, I love his backpack because I didn't have to carry anything!

We walked the edge of False Creek, through Yaletown and around BC Place stadium where Anthony took some very cool pictures.

Have you ever learned anything about yourself while travelling?
If you missed it, here's Day 1's Travel Tales!

Hi Malisa, this is Linda from work- well on maternity leave still. Looks like you guys are having a wonderful time. I love your pictures. Have tons of fun.
Every time I pretty much remember why I'm a homebody. :p I do love a great trip though...mostly learning new things and trying new foods. :) Love your video...saving ideas for whenever we head that way. Thanks Malisa!
I love the photo of you looking out at the harbor. What a beautiful city, and a fantastic husband for carrying your stuff. He did your new header, right? It looks awesome!
Linda~ so glad you found my site! Thank you for stopping by to say hi. Hope you and the babies are all doing well!
Joyce~ I love that you realize your a home-body when you travel. I definitely always say something about how much I like our bed and shower whenever we return from vacation. Trying new foods has to be my favorite part of traveling as well.
Lesley~ Ha ha! It is great that he carries all my stuff. And takes good pictures of me! Yes, Anthony made my new header, thank you for noticing!
