Try New Adventures Thursday: Birchbox

If it wasn't for my sister Heidi and her love of new eye shadows when we were growing up, I would have never used any color other than the first one I tried. Since we don't live together anymore, I have had to try and branch out to try new things on my own. I'll let you in on a little secret, this doesn't happen very often!
A few months ago, my friend Jessica (aka Polish and Pout) told me about Birchbox. They are a company that specializes in the newest makeup and skin care products mailed right to your door. You can sign up for their monthly "box" and it is only $10 a month.
You know you've received your Birchbox when there is a bright pink package on your doorstep. Inside that box is another box filled with samples of designer/brand name products. The samples are customized based on a beauty questionnaire you fill out. I have been very happy with the items inside.
This month I got to try a new nail polish (woo hoo!) and a cuticle cream that really helped soften my nails. There was also facial cleansing wipes, a laundry detergent sample, and a new perfume.
If you like getting pretty packages in the mail and need a change to your beauty regimine, Birchbox would be a fun thing to try out.

This looks like fun!! We can't swing the $10 at the time, but I LOOOOOVE packages arriving at the front door! Especially pampering ones.
So fun! What a great deal too. If only I knew how to use makeup that came in the box. :p
That's the best part about Birchbox, Joyce! They have videos tutorials and posts on how to use what comes in the boxes. :-)
