Guest Post: Making Time for Beauty (Part 1)

I'm happy to welcome Jessica (Polish & Pout) back. We got a chance to hang out last week and we had a blast. As did our hubsters!

Jessica loves helping others look amazing. She personal shopped for me and picked out some amazing outfits. Last time she guest posted, she shared her delicious chocolate dipped macaroons. Today and tomorrow, she'll be sharing what she's known for: BEAUTY! I hope you enjoy these helpful tips as much as I do.

Let's face it, it doesn't matter who you are or what stage of life you are in, there never is enough time. Whether it's your children, your job, your relationship, school...the list of things occupying our time is long. With all of the things in our day it can be easy to move ourselves to the bottom of the list or even scratch ourselves off the list altogether! Here are a few things you can do to make time for beauty.

1. Have a beauty game plan: Do you own a foundation you love? Happy with your skin care? Is the only lipstick you own one that came in a gift with purchase you got 3 years ago at a Clinique counter?! If you don't own things your thrilled about it will only deter you from taking time for beauty.

So schedule some time to head to a makeup counter to update what you use. Or treat your most fashionable friend to coffee and go to Target and tell you her favs. Using the right products can literally change your life and give you fresh enthusiasm and perspective!

2. Make beauty accessible: It's just how it sounds. Keep your evening skin care routine and makeup removing wipes on your night stand. Put your exfoliater in the shower. Stash a makeup bag with a lipgloss, a few bobbi pins, and a concealer in your car or purse for touch ups in a pinch.

Have all of the makeup you use in the morning in your makeup bag and toss or stash the rest. Declutter, dejunk, and put what you use within arms reach.

Doing these things are so simple yet will make everything so much easier and save time! Do it!

Looking forward to part 2. Having a game plan makes a huge difference...even if it's just a 5-minute game plan. =)
