Monterey Bay AquariumWhenever I find a new blog, the first thing I do is click on the About page. I want to get to know the person behind the blog. The question for me though is what would be helpful to include on my own About page?

This site is a way for me to share my life and perspective, and hopefully encourage and entertain you, my readers.

I love cooking and baking, although I modify almost every recipe I ever use to make it more healthy and tasty!

I am also a craft enthusiast. Knitting and sewing are my two main crafting hobbies. However, I have scrapbooked, cross-stitched, decoupaged, and stamped at various time in my life.

Married to a man that I was first an inseparable friend to. Anthony and I met at church where he and my sister, Heidi played music together. Thank heavens my family paid for her piano lessons! Anthony & I got engaged shortly after dating and were married March 2006. We do not have any pets or children—yet.

Anthony and Me, atop the Space Needle in Seattle, WAI was raised in a big family that is super involved in each other’s lives. Anthony was raised primarily as an only child. So we are learning how to create our lives together with these different backgrounds! I am also learning how to live life as a follower of Jesus Christ and what that means in the United States of America. Being the firstborn of four kids and the oldest grandchild (on both sides of the family), I have all of the qualities of an oldest child: organized, bossy, nosey, and everything else that goes with it.

Home educated all of my elementary and secondary years; education became a priority for me. My parents taught my siblings and me to be life-long learners. I have a Master’s degree in Education, specifically special education. I am an advocate of continuous learning, wherever life leads. We are huge fans of living a debt-free lifestyle, thanks to Dave Ramsey and Financial Peace!

Something shiny is always catching my attention…so watch out this blog might be slightly random!
